Remote Terminal allows you to securely connect to your managed devices’ command-line interfaces directly through the EdgeGO web interface, eliminating the need for separate SSH clients or physical device access.

Accessing Remote Terminal

Step 1: Navigate to Device List

Go to the Devices section from the main navigation menu.

Step 2: Select Device

Locate your target device and click the Operation button.

Step 3: Launch Web Terminal

In the operations panel, click Web Terminal then Submit.

A new browser window will open to establish the secure connection. If blocked, check your browser’s popup settings.

Step 4: Handle Security Certificate (if needed)

If you encounter a certificate warning, click Advanced then Proceed to [site] (unsafe) to continue with the self-signed certificate.

Step 5: Execute Commands

Once connected, execute commands as if you were physically present at the device.

Important Notes

• Session Timeout: Remote terminal sessions automatically timeout after 2 minutes of inactivity for security
• Reconnection: To resume after timeout, restart the connection process from Step 1
